legalloop-skill.zip. It activates on any legal question.Recommended. Install the Legal Loop plugin from inside Claude Code. This adds the /legalloop:ll skill, which runs automatically on any legal question, and the MCP, in one step. Run both lines, then sign in with your Legal Loop account when prompted:
Run these one at a time, in order:
Confirm the reload when prompted. Then connect your account:
Pick legalloop → Authenticate, and approve in the browser page that opens. Sign in there like you do here: Google, or the email and password from your signup. Forgot it? Password in the top bar resets it.
Optional: to get framework updates automatically, run /plugin → Marketplaces → legalloop-claude → Enable auto-update.
Adds just the connector. The skill is what gives you the guided, branded flow, so the plugin above is the better path.
In Claude Desktop: Settings → Developer → Edit Config. Paste, save, reopen the app.
On macOS the file is at ~/Library/Application Support/Claude/claude_desktop_config.json
Run this in your terminal to register the Legal Loop MCP with a static key.
Open a new chat and ask a legal question. Approve "Legal Loop" when Claude asks.
You'll get an answer with the laws it used.
Quit Claude and reopen it, then try again. If it's still missing, you don't need it: ask in plain English and approve the tool call.
Same determination, same citations. The shortcut only saves you naming Legal Loop.
